“WE DON’T HEAL IN ISOLATION, BUT IN COMMUNITY.”

S. Kelley Harrell

Our goal is to help build resilient, supportive, and healthy communities. We believe this goal can be reached through creating trauma-focused and multiculturally-focused ways of being in relationship with others. “Trauma-informed and multiculturally aware” is not enough. We must be focused. We must be humanistic and listen to the stories of those we serve.

We offer consultation for schools, healthcare facilities, and recovery centers to transform their way of serving students and patients because we understand the importance of schools and healthcare facilities in creating community wellness.

PRIMARY & SECONDARY SCHOOLS

Because Casey is an educator by training and former licensed kinder-12 and special education teacher, she understands the challenges of the school environment. She offers consultation and workshops for parents and educators to create homes, schools, and communities that are focused on building resilience and belonging for both the children and adults. Consultation and workshops focus on changing classroom and school culture through developmentally appropriate (neuroscience-based), trauma-focused, and multiculturally-focused strategies and ways of being. She teaches ways of using creativity, connection, and classroom climate to make meaningful shifts toward exceptional student growth.

COLLEGES & UNIVERSITIES

As a former instructor and director of academic enrichment at the university level, Casey offers consultation and workshops for colleges and universities to transform campus culture through the cultivation of resiliency and belonging. Institutions can bring about resiliency and belonging by being trauma-focused and multiculturally-focused. Student and faculty / staff development workshops topics might include topics such as active and experiential learning, the role of creativity in education, creativity at work, moving through procrastination, supporting learning through wellness, trauma-informed campus cultures, and social-emotional learning. In discussion, we can determine what workshop topics might be best for your institution.
