Meet Cole Rehbein!

I believe that counseling is more than just applying a diagnosis and a treatment protocol. It’s about understanding your goals, values, and strengths, and helping you overcome the challenges that prevent you from living a fulfilling life. I don’t rely on labels or categories to understand you, but rather on your unique story and goals. I use techniques that target the underlying psychological and behavioral processes that contribute to these problems.

Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, loneliness, identity issues, grief, trauma, habits, or any other challenge that affects your well-being, I can help you find effective ways to cope and change. I work with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences, especially those who identify as LGBTQIA2S+.

I endeavor to craft therapy that is responsive to and respectful of New Mexico’s diverse cultural traditions. To me, this means

  • making room for traditional methods of healing centered on community and family bonds

  • identifying and addressing inter-generational traumas caused by past conflicts, colonialism, exploitation, and violence, and poverty

  • emphasizing relations to land and nature as sources of wholeness.
