Counseling/Psychotherapy

“Being listened to by someone who understands makes it possible for persons to listen more accurately to themselves, with greater empathy toward their own visceral experiencing, their own vaguely felt meanings. Listening, of this very special kind, is one of the most potent forces for change that I know.”

Carl Rogers

FAQs

What is the difference between counseling/psychotherapy and coaching?

Counseling/psychotherapy focuses on managing and/or alleviating mental health problems that are resulting in emotional or behavioral distress so that functioning is improved.

Coaching focuses on setting and achieving wellness/life/spiritual goals, developing potential, and improving performance with clients who are generally functioning well and want support toward greater mind-body-spirit wellness.

Can I video-conference my sessions from anywhere?

Due to current counseling licensure restrictions, counseling/psychotherapy can only be provided to clients located within the practitioner’s state (New Mexico) or a state that maintains a virtual network. Please inquire for more information.
