Meet Danielle Leonard!

I bring a unique blend of life experience and academic knowledge to my role as a counselor intern at Vida Entera. With a passion for working with people and over a decade of study in Eastern and Western spiritual traditions, I offer a holistic perspective on mental health and well-being.
Through my lived experiences, I have developed deep empathy for those struggling with trauma, anxiety, and depression. I aim to share the tools I have learned to support clients facing similar challenges. I strive to tailor my approach to each individual, drawing from insight-based techniques and cognitive-behavioral approaches, including elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My goal is to create a space where clients can explore their experiences and cultivate self-compassion as a pathway to values-driven well-being.
My interests focus on positive psychology, especially the potential of peak experiences and flow states in promoting well-being. This area of study, combined with my diverse life experiences, continues to shape my approach to therapy. I am committed to integrating various therapeutic techniques to best serve each client’s needs. Whether in short-term or longer-term work, I aim to create a collaborative space where we can explore patterns of behavior, understand how personal history influences the present, and work towards a more fulfilling life.
